SECURE: Relena Darlian-Peacecraft [21 Oct 2004|12:56am]

4th_movement
Dear Relena,

This has gone on long enough. Do we know where Wufei is? Where Heero is? How is Duo faring? I fear no good can come of this. I know you are busy, and I apologise for the intrusion, but the weeks have grown troubling. There is dissent among the people of my colony, and every day I see more news of pirates in the neutral zone. Should EarthSphere troops interfere, we could easily have to brace for terrorist attacks in the coming weeks.

Surely something can be done. Surely something must be. I think it is time we brought our friends home.

If you have any ideas, please tell me. I will support whatever initiatives it might take to get them back. The colonies need them. Earth needs them.

And I think I need them too.

Hoping you are well. It has been too long since I last heard the sound of your voice. Be safe. I send you all my best wishes, knowing you are in good hands.

Sincerely,

Quatre R.W.

Duo,

It is my understanding that you were one of the last to speak to Wufei before he relocated to parts unknown.

I would like to obtain both his and your input regarding MoonBase. It will be difficult to prevent similar incidents without a thorough investigation regarding the events leading up to what happened while Wufei was stationed there. At present I am relying on written reports and second hand summaries, and I hesitate to allow those to influence my perception just yet.

I also would like to reach Wufei for reasons unrelated to Preventers' business, but I do not expect you to betray any confidences, should you know of his whereabouts. However, if you wouldn't mind passing along the message that I wish to speak with him, at his convenience, I would appreciate it.

Please let me know when you are available, yourself, for an informal debriefing. I suspect there is more going on than the typed reports in front of me are letting on.

Dear Members,

It is with great pleasure that I welcome Commander Sally Po as an addition to the community on this network. Commander Po has been appointed the position of Commanding Officer on MoonBase, a now actively-defended Neutral Zone under the control of the Preventers, and will today begin her transfer to that site. Commander Wufei has declined to comment on his whereabouts. Commander Po will begin her transfer today, and as MoonBase has become, over the past few weeks, a point of both Colony and Earthsphere cooperations and tensions, I thought it appropriate that both the Commanding Officer of such a pivotal point in our sphere, and an old friend to may of us, should become an additional member of this network.

Please join me in welcoming the Commander, and in hoping that adding another member will continually strengthen our community and alliances.

Sincerely,

Relena Darlian-Peacecraft

Quatre,

Last night I spoke to Relena about the specifics of my position of personal assistant. Part of my position is that I must take up residence in Luxemborg. This part of my position is most saddening since it means that we may not see each other as often as we would wish and that I would not be able to watch over you as I have over these past few months. Relena has offered to find you a residence here in Luxemborg so that I can continue to watch over you and you can continue with your work.

I'm not sure what you would like, but I have not made any specific arrangements as to what is to be done. I would like to know what you would like to do. I will not tell you to do one thing or another - I only want what is best for you.

I anxiously await your decision.

Heero,

As you undoubtedly have guessed by now, I have accepted the position of personal assistant to Relena. I am guessing that by now you have read through the transcript of our video cell conversation and know about the files that are to be passed on to me by you. I would like for you to send those files to me as soon as possible to my new residence in Luxemborg. This way I'll have some foresight on what you and Relena are speaking of at our meeting next week.

Thank you in advance.

SECURE: HEERO YUY - VIDEO CELL TRANSCRIPT GOVERNMENT NETWORK VIA WSC R. DARLIAN PEACECRAFT [03 Oct 2004|05:34pm]

Attention H. Yuy, R. Darlian-Peacecraft [authorization code 000****/approved] has requested this transcript: __ video cell, government network via R. Darlian-Peacecraft___ be uploaded to the network. The time and date of orginal recording is __October 2, AC206, 23:30__

[excerpt start]

R. Darlian-Peacecraft: [pauses, adjusts papers] Now, the basic requirements of the employment, Mr. Barton. [smiles] It requires a residence in Luxembourg, in my own official home, with no deduction taken from pay for board, as it is an official, Government-sponsored position. You will be registered to contact officials as needed and arrange and accompany me on meetings as I specify, and will be authorized to carry an armed weapon at all times, unless otherwise specified. Any concerns or questions so far?

T. Barton: [nods] Not so far. Please continue.

R. Darlian-Peacecraft: [nods] I understand you may have a commitment to Mr. Winner over a longer period of time, and I am willing to make certain concessions based on his needs if you see fit, whether they be a long-term working agreement, or allowing Mr. Winner permanent or temporary residence near or in Luxembourg if it fits his needs. I would not, after all, want to cut off a connection with one of his closest friends.

T. Barton: [smiles] That would be wonderful, Miss Relena. I will speak to Quatre about his living situations before we make any specific arrangements.

R. Darlian-Peacecraft: [nods] You will also have access to certain secure files about the conduct of some government members, in order for you to better brief yourself for certain meetings and arrangements, but I will have Heero contact you about those, personally. Will you be available in the next week for a conference with him and myself?

T. Barton: [nods] Of course. I will also contact Heero before the meeting to work out a few things between the two of us personally.

R. Darlian-Peacecraft: [pauses, raises an eyebrow, nods] Of course, Mr. Barton. And any other assistance you may need, don't hesitate to call.

T. Barton: Thank you, Miss Relena. [pauses] Is there anything else I should know about this position before I take it?

R. Darlian-Peacecraft: Only that there is a risk to your person, Mr. Barton, as I'm sure you already know. Though, I know, and am fully aware of your competence in such matters, and I'm sure you have no qualms about it?

T. Barton: None whatsoever. I am fully capable of taking care of myself - and you as well, if the situation calls for it.

R. Darlian-Peacecraft: [smiles, straightens] I am confident that you are, Mr. Barton. Thank you for your time, tonight.

T. Barton: [nods, smiles] You are very welcome Miss Relena. I look forward to seeing you again in person.

SECURE: Chang Wufei [29 Sep 2004|03:00pm]

Chang,

I have found you a placement. It is the small village of Zhougdian in Eastern China, close to The Plateau of Tibet. You will be working in the village's monastery run school, teaching mostly general, traditional subjects. However, I have been led to believe that some more modern lessons would be happily accepted by the students. You may also be called on to teach English occasionally.

Your accommodation will be reasonably spacious rooms (main living room, bedroom, kitchen and small bathroom) within the school. You will be expected to abide by monastery rules, but will not be forced to in any religious matters, of course.

You start in a week. I have booked shuttle seats for you on Sunday, and travel arrangements further.

It appears I will be returning to Luxembourg Saturday Evening. If you need any company before then, I am available. If not, then good luck.

Yours,

Dorothy Catalonia.

Relena,

After much debate and some long chats with Quatre, I have decided to accept your offer of a job as a personal assistant of yours. I will be travelling with Quatre to Luxemberg tomorrow. We shall have to speak more during the off time at the meetings, especially concerning the details of the job and such related matters. I look forward to seeing you again.

Dear Heero,

I have received indications that you've left your temporary accomodations on L2-XTCH459. Is this correct, and would you be interested in meeting soon to discuss the matters of General and Head Table Elections?

Your advice has been missed.

4th_movement
Dear Duo,

I will not take too much of your time. I know how precious it is. I just wanted a moment to say thank you for everything you and Heero have done in these past few weeks. I have always thought you two made a good team, and, now more than ever, while the rest of the world shakes, your resolve comes as good cheer.

I know too that Wufei must be very grateful that you took him in. I can only imagine what it must be like to be that helpless, to be trying so hard to ensure all one's work is not lost on trivialities, on simple human selfishness, and to feel a failure for it. Wufei's ideals are very strong, and very beautiful. He tries too hard, though.

I think he is afraid of dying a failure - to himself and to his people. It is sad that a man who has accomplished so much can be so agitated, but some hurts are deeper, I suppose. Some losses, too. But even when he thinks himself a failure in these ways we can still remind him how much we care, how much of a success we think him. And that, I feel, is beautiful, too.

So, again, thank you, Duo. If he weren't with two of the most capable human beings I know, I would worry tremendously. As it stands, however, I know he is in good hands, and we five of us will never break from our bonds.

Send me a message sometime, Duo. I am eager to hear how you are, and how the world is finding you. Be safe, and be well. And tell Heero and Wufei hello for me. I miss talking to them too.

Sincerely,

Quatre R. W.

I require your assistance, as I have burned too many other bridges in these past weeks. This moment may be used to deride me for my failings if you must. I have few options but to accept such a response from you at this point.

However, when you are finished with slander, would it be in your power to arrange a posting for me at some isolated station in some remote region of EarthSphere? Preferrably permanent.

I will be grateful for any such assistance you can provide. Thank you in advance for your time.

Dear Trowa,

I'm not mad, Trowa. It was a very considerate suggestion, and I always appreciate that you are concerned for my welfare. Your friendship means a great deal to me. Please understand that.

If it seems I have not made enough time for you as of late, you are likely correct. With this refugee situation, and the pressing need to ensure Miss Relena's safety these days, and the changing dynamic in the World and Space Council, I have just found myself rather tied up. But that can be amended, I'm sure.

Perhaps a nice walk tomorrow, sometime in the afternoon? I suspect we could both use the opportunity to rest. In the meantime, be well. I had hoped we were above such wasteful emotions. I am sorry to see I have somehow hurt you without meaning to do anything of the sort.

Sincerely,

All,

Thought I'd fill you in, since Field Major Prick and Chang McSleepy are currently elsewhere and not able to:

a) keep me from work by insisting I'm still a weak, feminine invalid apparently incapable of filing triplicate forms on the engineering trade on L3

OR

b) freak me out by saying a maximum of maybe two or three one-syllable words a day while staring blankly into the bottom of his half-eaten soupbowl.

That was, of course, respectively. My, here on L2-XTCH459, we certainly are a cheery bunch!

So, the kerfuffle on MoonBase took approximately 49 hours and six minutes (if you want to be specific), until Viceroy managed to get Minister Yao on the vidcell to speak in person to General Wolfe (who, by the way, certainly doesn't remind me of a specific blonde brother of a very high-up government official. Not at all. Except he does, in that totally 'I will fuck your shit up, shorty' kinda way). Wolfe stepped down on the "security measures", and took off for Luxembourg, where I'm hoping Yao at least tried to rip him a new one for pulling that kind of shit in front of all the relocated colonists. Like they didn't have enough on their plate as it were, without 100 armed WSCAF troops barging in. Apparently, they caught the guy they were looking for on MoonBase, who ended up was actually hiding out in some mud hut on the coast of Vladivostok. Oh yeah, guys, you were close.

MoonBase's under Prev. control again, under temporary-Commander Nichols. Wufei said she's "capable", which, coming from him, even like this, is something and a half.

I'm flying into Luxembourg for some Head Table meetings next week - Major's "orders" permitting, of course. Trowa, are you going to be there? I seem to remember Quatre being mentioned at some point? I'd like to chew a few with you, if you'd have the time?

Relena,

I fear I must come to you in this time of great strain to ask you for help. While Quatre has been doing very well in handling his duties, he is failing to do the few necessities of life. He barely eats, save when force him to, and I don't believe he's slept more than a few hours this past week.

I know about what has been going on at the NZ at the Moon Base recently - Quatre has been gracious enough to keep me informed on that. But I fear that I am still a bit out of the loop when it comes to most other matters. This is not from a lack of trying, believe me, but I still feel I'm not being told everything.

This seems to have gotten a bit off in my plea for help. I ask you to help me lighten this burden that Quatre carries and to help me stay informed about the goings on in the solar system.

I thank you in advance for any help you can give at this time.

Anyway, Viceroy's got me on the way to MoonBase for damage control, I guess. I have no idea what I'm gonna see when I get out of the shuttle bay, but here's to me coming back in one piece and not skewered on Wufei's rage.

I'll keep you updated.

Winner, Viceroy:

We have a situation among the refugees. Or, rather, a situation was made between the refugees. "For their own safety, and for the safety of the World Earth Sphere and Colonies" was the justification I was given by the commanding officer of the troops who then took up guard positions around the camps.

I repeat: there are unauthorized men in my hangars. There are unauthorized men on my training grounds. There are unauthorized men securing bunks from MY MEN.

This is Preventers territory - Preventers jurisdiction - and this will not be tolerated. And so I ask one of you most kindly to tell General Wolfe to withdraw the WSC Armed Forces from the perimeter or I will have them removed myself.

Commander W. Chang
